Tax Investigation Insurance

In light of recent activity by HM Revenue & Customs and the random nature of their enquiries, we at Caroline Wilson, are recommending our clients insure themselves and their businesses against this additional cost with fee protection insurance.

Fee protection insurance covers you and your business for our fees, up to a maximum of £75,000 per claim, in the event that you experience a full enquiry, (aspect enquiry) or dispute with the tax authorities.

The average full enquiry would require over a week of our time and, as this is specialist work dealt with mainly by senior staff, our fees could easily be in excess of £4,000.
